Crossdock Forklift Operator

Quill Transport Ltd., a member of the Siemens Transportation Group Inc., requires a dockworker at their Mississauga, On location. Dockworkers with over 2 years of experience in Crossdock operations are required to streamline the movement of freight through our Mississauga terminal. Applicants must be knowledgeable of Outbound freight loading and experience with using a towmotor/lift truck.

Position is Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Responsibilities

• Outbound Loading (Cross Dock Operations)
• Handling of packages, parcels and other materials
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner
• Handling of freight documents
• Meet shipping deadlines
• Maximize load factor

Qualifications

• 2 years of Crossdock LTL loading/unloading experience (required)
• 2 years experience in operating a Forklift/Lift Truck and scissor lift for the purpose of outbound loading
• Must have previous experience working on a cross dock
• Ability to efficiently secure trailer loads maximizing space
• Ability to load high volume lanes in Western Canada
• Physically able to perform duties
