Position Overview: We are in search of a motivated and seasoned Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The Accounting Manager will hold a pivotal role in scrutinizing and interpreting data, steering business decisions, and enhancing operational effectiveness within the transportation sector.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct thorough analysis of operational data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Develop and maintain reports, and KP ls for tracking critical performance metrics.
- Furnish regular and ad-hoc reports to management and stakeholders.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning:
- Leverage historical data and industry trends to generate precise forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize operations with projected demand.
- Process Optimization:
- Scrutinize current processes and workflows, pinpointing areas for improvement and implementing efficiency-boosting solutions.
- Provide recommendations for process refinement and automation.
- Assist with the management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting.
- Financial Analysis:
- Aid in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
- Ensure that the Finance department attains its quarterly goals and objectives.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Oversee adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks pertaining to operations and data management.
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage team members and ensure processes and controls are effective.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Financial Records and Statements:
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Review financial statements; ensure variances are analyzed and investigated.
- Assist with preparation of annual audit working papers.
- Technology and Systems:
- Participate in the implementation of software upgrades.

Qualifications
- University Bachelors degree or College diploma in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA designation or actively pursuing certification.
- Three or more years of experience in an accounting role in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and corporate reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
